RV Roof Replacement and Maintenance
Regardless of the type of roof you have on your RV, you’ll want to ensure the top of your vehicle is properly maintained to avoid eventual replacement. We recommend inspections for the top of your vehicle at least once a year, especially around any sky lights or vents and along the front and rear seams. We can check those spots most susceptible to cracking and potential water leakage.
You have three basic roofing options:
Aluminum
Aluminum roofs are lightweight, durable and have the benefit of requiring a relatively low amount of maintenance.
Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer Rubber (EPDM)
This synthetic rubber is found in many of the RVs on the market today. Rubber roofs are long lasting and durable; however, they require special sealants and more frequent cleanings for proper protection.
Fibreglass
Fibreglass roofs are probably the strongest and most durable option for today’s RV owner.
